민족 대명절 추석을 맞아 해남교도소에 따뜻한 온정의 손길이 전해졌다.

해남교도소교정위원회는 10월 2일 오전 11시, 수형자 520여 명에게 명절 간식인 컵라면 1,200개를 전달하는 ‘추석맞이 온정 나눔 행사’를 개최했다.

서영수 회장은 이날 행사에서 “오늘 전달된 교정협의회 위원들의 작은 정성이, 고향의 가족과 함께하지 못하는 수형자들에게 교정과 교화의 마음으로 이어지길 바란다.”고 전하며, 따뜻한 명절 나눔의 의미를 강조했다.

이번 행사에는 박휘승 사무차장(20만 원), 유대준 교화위원(10만 원), 정도영 사무국장(10만 원)을 비롯해 서영수, 박충배, 박준오, 박희석, 이병주, 이주상, 정은미, 채윤미, 정도영 교정위원 등 많은 위원들이 참여해 봉사와 후원을 아끼지 않았다.

수형자들은 간식을 전달받으며 환하게 웃음을 지었고, 행사장을 가득 메운 따뜻한 마음은 현장에 있던 모두에게 큰 감동을 주었다.

한 교정위원은 “비록 고향의 가족과 함께하지 못하지만, 작은 마음 하나가 이분들에게 큰 위로가 되길 바란다.”고 말했다.

해남교도소교정위원회의 이번 추석 온정 나눔 행사는 수형자들이 잠시나마 가족의 정을 느끼고 명절의 의미를 되새길 수 있는 뜻깊은 시간으로, 지역사회에 훈훈한 감동을 전했다.

As the nation prepares to celebrate the major holiday of Chuseok, a warm gesture of kindness reached Haenam Correctional Institution.
On October 2nd at 11 a.m., the Haenam Correctional Officers’ Association held a “Chuseok Warm-hearted Sharing Event,” distributing 1,200 cups of instant noodles to more than 520 inmates.
At the event, Chairman Seo Young-su said, “We hope that this small act of kindness from the members of the Correctional Officers’ Association will bring comfort to inmates who cannot be with their families, reflecting the spirit of correction and rehabilitation.” He emphasized the meaningfulness of sharing warmth during the holiday season.
The event was supported by Deputy Secretary Park Hwi-seung (200,000 KRW), Correctional Officer Yoo Dae-jun (100,000 KRW), and Secretary General Jeong Do-young (100,000 KRW), along with numerous officers including Seo Young-su, Park Choong-bae, Park Jun-oh, Park Hee-seok, Lee Byung-joo, Lee Joo-sang, Jeong Eun-mi, Chae Yoon-mi, and Jeong Do-young, who participated in both volunteer work and sponsorship.
Inmates received the treats with bright smiles, and the warmth that filled the venue moved everyone present. One officer commented, “Although they cannot be with their families, we hope that even a small act of kindness can provide great comfort to them.”
The Haenam Correctional Officers’ Association’s Chuseok charity event provided inmates with a brief opportunity to feel the warmth of family and reflect on the meaning of the holiday, spreading heartfelt emotion throughout the local community.
