전남도, 생활주변 위험시설물 무료 안전점검 실시

전라남도는 도민의 생명과 재산을 보호하기 위해 일상생활 주변의 위험요소를 찾아 무료로 점검하는 ‘도민 안전점검 청구제’를 운영하고 있다고 7일 밝혔다.

‘도민 안전점검 청구제’는 도민 누구나 주변 시설물이나 구조물에서 위험 요소를 발견했을 때 안전점검을 요청할 수 있는 참여형 안전관리 제도다.

점검 요청이 접수되면 공무원과 민간 전문가로 구성된 합동점검반이 신청인과 일정을 협의해 현장을 방문한다.

이후 시설물의 위험 정도를 진단하고, 소유주나 관리주체에게 보수·보강 방법 등을 안내한다. 점검은 무료로 이뤄진다.

점검 대상은 단독주택, 마을회관 등 민간·공공 건축물과 교량, 축대, 옹벽 등 소규모 생활밀접시설 중 위험이 예상되는 시설물이다.

다만 공사 중인 건물이나 소송·분쟁 중인 시설, 법적 의무점검 대상, 민원 발생 시설 등은 제외된다.

주요 불안전 요인은 균열, 박리·박락, 철근 부식 및 노출 등이었으며, 특히 주택에서 균열이나 철근 부식으로 불안을 느낀 주민들의 요청이 많았다.

신청은 전남도 사회재난과 안전점검팀으로 전화(061-286-3040~3045), 팩스(061-286-4737), 방문 또는 전남도 누리집(www.jeonnam.go.kr)을 통해 온라인으로도 가능하다.

이원형 전남도 사회재난과장은 “도민이 스스로 주변 위험요소를 발견해 적극적으로 안전점검을 청구해야 보다 안전한 전남을 만들 수 있다”며 “도민 여러분의 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다.”고 말했다.

한편, 전남도는 추석 연휴를 앞두고 남도국제미식산업박람회 개최지와 전통시장, 버스터미널, 요양병원, 영화관 등 총 170개소의 다중이용시설을 대상으로 건축·전기·가스·소방·교통 등 5개 분야 안전점검을 실시해 사고 예방과 안전한 명절 분위기 조성에 힘썼다.

Jeonnam Province Offers Free Safety Inspections for Potentially Hazardous Local FacilitiesResidents Can Apply Through the “Safety Inspection Request System”… Joint Inspection Teams Provide On-Site Assessments and Recommend Reinforcement Measures
Jeonnam Province announced on the 7th that it is operating the “Safety Inspection Request System” to protect residents’ lives and property by identifying and inspecting potential safety hazards in their daily surroundings free of charge.
The Safety Inspection Request System is a participatory safety management program that allows any resident to request inspections when they discover risk factors in nearby facilities or structures.
Once a request is received, a joint inspection team consisting of government officials and private-sector experts coordinates with the applicant to visit the site.The team assesses the level of risk at the facility and provides the owner or manager with recommendations for necessary repairs and reinforcements. All inspections are conducted free of charge.
Eligible facilities include small-scale public and private buildings—such as single-family homes and community centers—as well as civil structures such as bridges, retaining walls, and embankments that are deemed potentially hazardous.However, facilities under construction, those involved in legal disputes, those subject to mandatory legal inspections, or those under active civil complaints are excluded.
Major risk factors reported include cracks, peeling or spalling concrete, and corroded or exposed reinforcing steel. Many requests came from residents concerned about such conditions in their homes.
Applications can be submitted to the Safety Inspection Team of the Jeonnam Provincial Department of Disaster and Safety by phone (+82-61-286-3040~3045), fax (+82-61-286-4737), in person, or online via the provincial website (www.jeonnam.go.kr).
Lee Won-hyung, Director of the Jeonnam Provincial Disaster and Safety Division, said,
“Residents’ proactive interest in identifying local risks and requesting inspections is essential to creating a safer Jeonnam together. We encourage all residents to actively participate in the program.”
Meanwhile, ahead of the Chuseok holiday, the province conducted safety inspections at 170 sites, including the Namdo International Gastronomy Expo venue, traditional markets, bus terminals, nursing hospitals, and movie theaters.The inspections covered five key areas—construction, electricity, gas, fire safety, and traffic—to prevent accidents and ensure a safe and pleasant holiday season.
