“20년 변화, 30년 도약! 전남의 미래를 함께하다”

전라남도가 200만 도민이 함께하는 제29회 전라남도 도민의 날 기념행사를 24일부터 2일간 전남도청 앞 OK도민광장에서 개최한다.

올해 도민의 날 행사는 도청사 이전 20주년을 기념하고, ‘20년의 변화와 30년의 대도약!, 더 위대한 전남’이라는 주제로 도민의 자긍심을 높이며 전남의 미래 비전을 공유하기 위해 다채롭고 감동적인 프로그램으로 준비됐다.

다채로운 기념식과 화려한 드론 라이트쇼
기념식은 식전공연, 도민헌장 낭독, 자랑스러운 전남인 상 시상을 시작으로, 전남의 역사와 미래를 담은 주제공연, 인공태양 연구시설 유치 다짐대회, 희망과 힘찬 비상을 상징하는 정책비전 드론 라이트쇼 순으로 진행된다.

2부 행사에서는 국내 최정상급 가수들의 축하 콘서트가 이어져, 도민 모두가 함께 즐기는 흥겨운 축제의 장이 펼쳐진다.

전남의 변화와 도민 삶 체험 프로그램
도청 김대중강당에서는 도민 힐링 토크가 열리고, 출생기본수당·햇빛바람연금 도입 등 지방자치 30주년 정책을 체험할 수 있는 전시, 도청 이전 20주년 기념 사진전 등도 마련돼 전남의 발전 여정을 돌아볼 수 있다.

특히 행사 기간 중에는 청소년박람회, 아트페스티벌, 사회적경제 한마당 등 20여 개 프로그램이 함께 운영되어, 청소년·예술인·사회적경제 종사자 등 다양한 도민이 어우러지는 도민 대축제의 장이 될 전망이다.

고미경 전남도 자치행정국장은 “올해 도민의 날은 지방자치 30년과 도청 신청사 개청 20년을 맞아 전남의 변화와 도약을 함께 돌아보는 뜻깊은 자리”라며 “많은 도민께서 가족과 함께 방문해 즐기고 전남의 새로운 시작을 함께하길 바란다.”고 당부했다.

“20 Years of Change, 30 Years of Leap! Shaping the Future of Jeonnam”
The 29th Jeollanam-do Residents’ Day to be Held at OK Residents’ Square from October 24
Jeollanam-do will host the 29th Residents’ Day celebration for 2 days starting October 24 at OK Residents’ Square in front of the Jeonnam Provincial Office, bringing together all 2 million residents.
This year’s Residents’ Day commemorates the 20th anniversary of the relocation of the provincial office. Under the theme, “20 Years of Change, 30 Years of Leap! Toward a Greater Jeonnam,” the event has been planned with diverse and inspiring programs to enhance residents’ pride and share the vision for Jeonnam’s future.
Vibrant Ceremony and Spectacular Drone Light Show
The ceremony will feature a pre-performance, reading of the Residents’ Charter, and presentation of the Proud Jeonnam Citizen Awards, followed by a thematic performance reflecting Jeonnam’s past and future, a pledge event for attracting the Artificial Sun Research Facility, and a policy vision drone light show symbolizing hope and Jeonnam’s soaring future.
In the second part of the program, a celebratory concert featuring top-tier domestic singers will take place, creating a festive atmosphere for all residents to enjoy together.
Experience Programs Highlighting Jeonnam’s Progress and Residents’ Lives
At the Kim Dae-jung Hall of the provincial office, a Residents’ Healing Talk will be held, alongside exhibitions on local government policies celebrating 30 years of autonomy, including the Birth Basic Allowance and Sun & Wind Pension, as well as a photo exhibition commemorating the 20th anniversary of the provincial office relocation, allowing residents to reflect on Jeonnam’s development journey.
During the event, over 20 programs such as the Youth Expo, Art Festival, and Social Economy Fair will be held simultaneously, creating a grand festival where youth, artists, and social economy participants come together.

Go Mi-kyung, Director of the Jeonnam Provincial Office’s Autonomous Administration Bureau, said, “This year’s Residents’ Day is a meaningful occasion to look back on Jeonnam’s transformation and leap forward, marking 30 years of local autonomy and 20 years since the provincial office relocation. We hope many residents will visit with their families to enjoy and celebrate Jeonnam’s new beginning.”
