“AI 시대, 미래 인재는 코딩 로봇으로 탄생한다!”

전라남도는 청소년들의 창의적 문제해결력과 인공지능(AI) 융합 역량을 한층 높이기 위한 2025 전남 SW·AI 코딩 로봇경진대회를 지난 10월 30~31일, 나주 동신대학교에서 성공적으로 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 ‘도시의 문제를 해결하는 스마트 로봇’을 주제로, 전남도와 전남도교육청, 나주시가 공동 주최하고 (재)전남정보문화산업진흥원이 주관했다. 초·중·고 학생 30개 팀, 총 90명이 2인 1조로 참가해, 일상 속 문제 해결 아이디어를 바탕으로 로봇 코딩 실력을 겨뤘다.

대회는 팀별 아이디어 발표와 직접 제작한 로봇 경기로 진행됐다.

사전 교구재 배부와 교육을 통해 경험이 부족한 학생들도 쉽고 즐겁게 참여할 수 있도록 했으며, 학교 지도교사의 피드백으로 로봇과 코딩 이해도를 높였다.

부문별 수상 팀은 다음과 같다.

심상완 전남도 연구바이오산업과장은 “청소년이 인공지능과 소프트웨어를 활용해 창의적으로 문제를 해결하고 도전정신을 키우는 경험은 이미 교육의 본질이 됐다”며, “앞으로도 AI 대전환 시대에 맞춰 청소년 대상 실전형 교육 기회를 확대해 미래 인재 양성에 힘쓰겠다.”고 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 청소년들이 아이디어와 코딩 실력으로 도시 문제를 해결하는 경험을 쌓는 동시에, 미래 사회를 이끌 AI 융합형 인재로 성장하는 계기가 됐다는 점에서 큰 의미를 지닌다.

“In the AI Era, Future Talent Emerges Through Coding Robots!”
Jeonnam Youth SW·AI Coding Robot Competition Concludes Successfully
Jeonnam Province announced that the 2025 Jeonnam SW·AI Coding Robot Competition aimed at enhancing the creative problem-solving skills and AI convergence capabilities of young students was successfully held on October 30–31 at Dongshin University in Naju.
The competition, themed “Smart Robots Solving Urban Problems,” was jointly hosted by Jeonnam Province, the Jeonnam Office of Education, and Naju City, and organized by the Jeonnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency. A total of 30 teams of elementary, middle, and high school students—90 students in pairs—participated, showcasing their robot coding skills based on ideas for solving real-life problems.
The event featured team presentations of ideas and robot competitions with self-built robots.
Pre-distributed teaching materials and training allowed students with limited prior experience to participate easily and enjoyably, while guidance from school teachers helped enhance their understanding of robotics and coding.

Excellence Award
Elementary: Raon Elementary School, Naju (AI Master)

High: Yeongsanseong High School, Yeonggwang (Garlic Jokbal)
Merit Award
Elementary: Raon Elementary School, Naju (Robot Master)
Middle: Dasi Middle School, Naju (Again)
High: Yeongsanseong High School, Yeonggwang (Tobot)
Sim Sang-wan, Director of the Research & Bio Industry Division of Jeonnam Province, stated, “Experiences that allow youth to solve problems creatively using AI and software have already become an essential part of education. Moving forward, we will continue to expand hands-on educational opportunities for young people in line with the AI transformation era to foster future talent.”
The competition was meaningful not only as an opportunity for students to develop solutions to urban problems using ideas and coding skills but also as a stepping stone for them to grow into AI convergence talents who will lead future society.
