트로트 여제 송가인, 고향 진도 살리기 나섰다… ‘전남형 만원주택’ 홍보영상 무상 출연

진도 출신 트로트 가수 송가인이 지역 소멸 위기 극복을 위한 재능기부로 고향 사랑을 실천했다.

전라남도는 송가인이 최근 제작된 ‘전남형 만원주택’ 홍보영상에 무상 출연했다고 4일 밝혔다. 단순한 홍보모델 참여를 넘어, 고향 공동체와 지역 인구 문제 해결에 동참하는 상징적 행보로 평가된다.

송가인은 “진도는 제 뿌리이자 삶의 무대”라며 “떠나는 사람보다 돌아오는 사람이 많아지길 바라는 마음으로 참여했다”고 소감을 전했다.

진도에는 이미 ‘송가인 마을’이 조성돼 팬과 관광객의 발길이 이어지고 있으며, ‘송가인 동네’로 불리는 이 공간은 새로운 관광명소로 자리 잡았다.

이번 재능기부는 관광·문화·인구정책을 연결하는 모범 사례로 주목받고 있다.

전남은 최근 10년간 총인구가 2만여 명(1.15%) 감소했으며, 청년인구는 2015년 42만 명에서 2024년 37만 5천 명으로 10.8% 줄어드는 등 지역 미래 동력이 빠르게 약화되고 있다.

김영록 전남도지사는 “송가인씨의 무상 출연은 연예인이 지역 인구 위기 극복에 동참한다는 상징적 메시지”라며 “정책 신뢰도와 도민 공감대 확산에 큰 힘이 될 것”이라고 강조했다.

홍보영상은 ‘집 문제 해결이 곧 인구 문제 해결’이라는 메시지를 담고 있으며, 송가인의 참여로 더 많은 국민적 관심을 모을 것으로 기대된다.

전남도는 이번 홍보를 통해 2026년 7월 진도에서 첫 입주가 시작되는 ‘전남형 만원주택’을 알릴 계획이다.

이 아파트는 청년과 신혼부부에게 월 1만 원의 상징적 임대료로 최대 10년간 거주 가능한 33평형으로 제공되며, 지역 정착을 통한 인구 문제 극복에 기여할 전망이다.

Trot Diva Song Ga-in Steps Up to Save Her Hometown Jindo… Appears in ‘Jeonnam-Type 10,000 Won Housing’ Promotional Video Free of Charge
Song Ga-in, a trot singer from Jindo, has contributed her talents to support efforts to overcome the risk of regional depopulation and show her love for her hometown.
According to Jeollanam-do Province, Song Ga-in recently appeared in the promotional video for the ‘Jeonnam-Type 10,000 Won Housing’ project free of charge. Her participation goes beyond mere promotional modeling, symbolically supporting her local community and efforts to address regional population challenges.
Song Ga-in commented, “Jindo is my roots and the stage of my life. I participated with the hope that more people will return to their hometowns than leave them.”
Jindo has already established a ‘Song Ga-in Village,’ attracting fans and tourists, and this area, also called ‘Song Ga-in Town,’ has become a new tourist destination.
Her voluntary contribution is being recognized as a model case linking tourism, culture, and population policy.
Over the past decade, Jeonnam’s total population has declined by approximately 20,000 (1.15%), and the youth population has dropped from 420,000 in 2015 to 375,000 in 2024, a decrease of 10.8%, indicating a rapid weakening of the region’s future growth potential.
Governor Kim Young-rok of Jeollanam-do emphasized, “Song Ga-in’s free participation sends a symbolic message that celebrities can join efforts to overcome regional population crises. It will greatly enhance public trust in policies and broaden support among residents.”
The promotional video conveys the message that “solving housing problems is key to solving population problems,” and Song Ga-in’s involvement is expected to attract greater national attention.
Through this promotion, Jeollanam-do plans to publicize the ‘Jeonnam-Type 10,000 Won Housing,’ scheduled for first occupancy in Jindo in July 2026.
This project will offer 33-pyeong apartments (approximately 109 square meters) at a symbolic monthly rent of 10,000 won for up to 10 years to young people and newlyweds, aiming to support regional settlement and help address population decline.
