전남 해남군 산이면·황산면 일원에 조성 중인 솔라시도 기업도시가 ‘어떤 도시로 완성될 것인가’에 대한 윤곽을 분명히 하고 있다.

총면적 약 2,090만㎡(20.9㎢)에 달하는 이 공간은 산업·에너지·관광·주거가 균형을 이루는 AI·에너지 시대 국가 전략형 복합도시로 설계됐다.

솔라시도의 토지 이용은 명확하다.
전체 면적의 35%는 산업·연구, 25%는 에너지 인프라, 25%는 관광·레저, 15%는 주거·지원시설로 배분됐다.

Solaseado Reveals the Shape of a National Strategic Complex City
The Solaseado Enterprise City, currently under development in San-i and Hwangsan-myeon, Haenam County, South Jeolla Province, is beginning to reveal a clear picture of what kind of city it aims to become.

This structure simultaneously addresses three major challenges—power supply stability, cost competitiveness, and carbon neutrality.
Tourism as Added Value, Long Stays as Competitiveness
Another 5.2 million square meters (25%) is allocated to tourism and leisure. Built on golf, marine, resort, and integrated tourism facilities, this area is not intended to remain a simple sightseeing destination.
The focus is on stay-oriented tourism targeting industrial and research personnel and international business visitors, along with industry-linked leisure connected to conventions and business events.
It is a structure where industry attracts people, and tourism encourages them to stay—not separate, but interlinked.
A City Where People Live: Residential & Support (15%)
The residential and support facilities zone, covering about 3.2 million square meters (15%), is designed to support permanent settlement by researchers, workers, and their families.
With schools, medical facilities, commercial areas, and public services planned together, the goal is not an industrial park, but a fully functioning city.
This is the minimum condition required to make Solaseado not only a place to work, but a place to live.
