전라남도는 2일 도청 왕인실에서 제106회 전국체육대회 출전을 앞두고 전남선수단의 선전을 다짐하는 결단식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

결단식에는 김영록 전남도지사를 비롯해 김태균 전남도의회 의장, 송진호 전남도체육회장, 김대중 전남도교육감, 체육 관계자 및 선수단 등 250여 명이 참석했다.

이날 행사에서는 도대표 선수단의 각오를 담은 영상 상영을 시작으로 전국체전 참가계획 보고, 개식사, 선수단기 전달, 격려사, 선수대표 선서, 체육진흥성금 기탁 등의 순으로 진행됐다.

김영록 전남도지사는 격려사를 통해 “선수 여러분은 전남의 자랑이자 도민의 희망”이라며 “남은 기간 좋은 컨디션을 유지해 최고의 경기를 펼치시길 기대하며, 온 도민과 함께 응원하겠다.”고 말했다.

또한 광주은행, NH농협은행, 대한건설협회 전남도회, 대한전문건설협회 전남도회에서는 체육진흥성금을 전달하며 선수단을 격려했다.

제106회 전국체육대회는 17일부터 23일까지 부산광역시 일원에서 7일간 진행되며, 전남 선수단은 49개 종목에 총 1,738명(선수 1,187명, 임원 551명)이 참가한다.

특히 파리올림픽 메달리스트 양궁 남수현(순천시청), 배드민턴 정나은(화순군청), 복싱 임애지(화순군청)과 세단뛰기 한국 신기록 보유자 김장우(장흥군청), 근대5종 국가대표 서창완(전남도청), 댄스스포츠 국가대표 김민수·김나연, 임진수·임세빈(순천시댄스스포츠연맹) 등 전남을 대표하는 스타 선수들이 출전해 메달 사냥에 나선다.

Jeonnam Athletes Hold Rally Ahead of the 106th National Sports Festival1,738 Participants Across 49 Sports to Compete in Busan from October 17–23

On October 2, the Jeonnam Provincial Government held a rally at the Wangin Hall of the provincial office to encourage its athletes ahead of the 106th National Sports Festival.
The rally was attended by approximately 250 people, including Jeonnam Governor Kim Young-rok, Jeonnam Provincial Council Chairman Kim Tae-gyun, Jeonnam Sports Council President Song Jin-ho, Jeonnam Superintendent of Education Kim Dae-jung, sports officials, and members of the athlete delegation.
The event began with a video showcasing the determination of the provincial athletes, followed by reports on participation plans, an opening address, the presentation of the athlete flag, congratulatory speeches, athlete pledges, and the presentation of sports promotion donations.
In his congratulatory speech, Governor Kim Young-rok said, “You, the athletes, are the pride of Jeonnam and the hope of our residents. We hope you maintain your best condition and deliver outstanding performances, and all citizens will be cheering for you.”
Sports promotion donations were also presented by Gwangju Bank, NH Nonghyup Bank, the Jeonnam Chapter of the Korea Construction Association, and the Jeonnam Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association to encourage the athletes.
The 106th National Sports Festival will be held for seven days from October 17 to 23 across Busan, with the Jeonnam team participating in 49 sports, totaling 1,738 members (1,187 athletes and 551 officials).
Notable athletes representing Jeonnam include Paris Olympic medalist archer Nam Soo-hyun (Suncheon City Hall), badminton player Jung Na-eun (Hwasun County Office), boxer Lim Ae-ji (Hwasun County Office), triple jump Korean record-holder Kim Jang-woo (Jangheung County Office), modern pentathlon national representative Seo Chang-wan (Jeonnam Provincial Office), and dance sports national representatives Kim Min-soo &Kim Na-yeon, Im Jin-soo &Im Se-bin (Suncheon City Dance Sports Federation), who will compete for medals at the festival.
