2025 남도국제미식산업박람회 기간 중 열린 ‘시군 대표요리 전시경연’이 성황리에 마무리됐다.

이번 경연은 전남 22개 시군이 참여해 각 지역을 대표하는 제철 식재료와 전통 조리법으로 선보인 다채로운 요리로 국내외 관람객의 큰 관심을 모았다.

특히, 심사위원단은 지역성과 대표성, 식재료 활용도, 맛과 조화, 창의성 및 차별성, 외관 및 완성도 등을 기준으로 평가를 진행했다.

그 결과, 대상은 ‘해산물 장과’를 출품한 진도군이 차지했으며, 해남군이 ‘추복탕’으로 최우수상을 수상했다.

이 밖에 고흥군이 우수상, 여수시와 광양시가 장려상을 받았고 순천시와 완도군이 입선에 올랐다.

대상과 최우수상에 선정된 요리는 박람회 기간 동안 남도를 대표하는 미식 브랜드로 집중 홍보될 예정이다.

홍양현 박람회 사무국장은 “이번 전시경연은 남도의 맛과 이야기를 담아낸 무대였다.”며 “남도 미식의 경쟁력이 국내를 넘어 세계로 뻗어갈 수 있음을 확인한 뜻 깊은 행사였다.”고 말했다.

Namdo International Gastronomy Industry Expo – Local Governments’ Signature Dish Contest a Great SuccessShowcasing the taste and charm of Namdo to domestic and international visitors… Jindo County wins the Grand Prize
The “Signature Dish Contest by Local Governments” held during the 2025 Namdo International Gastronomy Industry Expo concluded with great success.
A total of 22 cities and counties across Jeollanam-do participated in the competition, each presenting dishes prepared with seasonal local ingredients and traditional cooking methods. The event drew strong attention from both domestic and international visitors, highlighting the richness and diversity of Namdo cuisine.
The panel of judges evaluated the entries based on regional identity and representation, use of ingredients, taste and harmony, creativity and uniqueness, and overall presentation and completeness.
As a result, Jindo County won the Grand Prize with its dish “Haesamul Jang-gwa” (Seafood Stew in Sauce), while Haenam County received the Excellence Award for “Chubok-tang” (Stonefish Soup). Goheung County was awarded the Merit Prize, and Yeosu City and Gwangyang City each received Honorable Mentions. Additionally, Suncheon City and Wando County were selected as finalists.
The dishes awarded the Grand Prize and Excellence Award will be specially promoted during the Expo as representative culinary brands of Namdo.
Hong Yang-hyun, Secretary General of the Expo, stated, “This contest was a stage to showcase the taste and stories of Namdo. It reaffirmed the potential for Namdo’s gastronomy to expand beyond Korea to the global stage.”
