전라남도가 여수 석유화학산업 근로자의 생활 안정을 위해 ‘석유화학 근로자 안심패키지 지원사업’ 2차 모집을 5일부터 시작한다.

이번 추가 모집은 지난 8월 1차 모집 당시 신청자가 예상보다 몰려 조기 마감된 데 따른 후속 대책이다. 전남도는 ‘석유화학 고용회복 프로젝트’(총 53억 원) 중 남은 예산을 활용해 더 많은 근로자가 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 했다.

지원 대상은 여수 소재 석유화학 업종 및 관련 기업 근로자로, 주소·소득·근로 조건을 충족하는 일용직과 상용직 근로자가 포함된다.

근로자가 직접 지출한 사회보험료, 건강검진비, 문화·체육비, 주거비, 통신비 등 증빙 자료를 제출하면 1인당 40만 원의 건강복지비를 지원받을 수 있다.

신청 방법은 1차 모집과 달리 문자(SMS 1666-1840) 접수로 진행되며, 접수 완료 문자를 받은 근로자는 오는 21일까지 관련 서류를 여수상공회의소에 제출하면 된다.

서은수 전남도 일자리투자유치국장은 “여수 석유화학산업 근로자의 생활 안정과 고용 회복을 위해 추가 모집을 신속히 추진하며, 내년에도 근로자가 실제로 체감할 수 있는 지원을 이어가겠다.”고 말했다.

“Yeosu Petrochemical Workers to Receive 400,000 KRW Each for Living Support! Jeonnam Province Launches Additional Recruitment”
Jeonnam Province will begin the second round of the “Petrochemical Worker Safety Package Support Program” on the 5th to stabilize the living conditions of workers in Yeosu’s petrochemical industry.
This additional recruitment follows the first round in August, which ended earlier than expected due to a high number of applicants. The province plans to use the remaining budget from the “Petrochemical Employment Recovery Project” (totaling 5.3 billion KRW) to ensure more workers can benefit.
Eligible recipients are workers employed at petrochemical companies or related businesses in Yeosu who meet the residency, income, and employment requirements, including both daily and full-time workers.
Workers who submit proof of expenses for social insurance, health check-ups, cultural and sports activities, housing, and communication costs will receive 400,000 KRW each as a health and welfare allowance.
Unlike the first round, applications are accepted via SMS (1666-1840). Workers who receive a confirmation text must submit the relevant documents to the Yeosu Chamber of Commerce and Industry by the 21st.
