전라남도가 2026년 국고예산 확보를 위해 국회를 전방위로 공략하며 ‘미래 100년 전략사업’에 대한 국비 반영 확보전에 나섰다.
강위원 경제부지사는 12~13일 이틀 동안 국회를 집중 방문하며 상임위·예결위를 직접 공략해 핵심사업 필요성을 설명하고 협조를 요청했다.
■ 예결위 집중 공략… 전남 핵심사업 직접 설명
강위원 경제부지사는 13일 국회를 찾아 이소영 더불어민주당 예결위 간사, 노종면·임미애 예결위원, 김원이 산업통상자원중기벤처위원회 간사 등과 연쇄 면담을 진행했다.
부지사는 전남 핵심 성장 동력 사업의 필요성·경제적 파급효과·지역균형발전 효과를 조목조목 제시하며, “정부안에서 누락되거나 감액된 사업은 반드시 심의 과정에서 보완돼야 한다.”고 강하게 요청했다.
■ “단 한 푼도 놓칠 수 없다”… 민주당 지도부 설득전
앞서 12일에는 정청래 더불어민주당 대표와 권향엽·문금주·김문수 의원을 잇달아 만나 국비 지원 필요성을 집중 설명했다.
강 부지사는 “전남의 미래 100년 경쟁력을 좌우할 중대 시점”이라며 “정부안 미반영 사업을 국회 단계에서 반드시 살려야 한다.”고 설득했다.
■ 전남도, ‘미래 100년 프로젝트’ 총력 대응체계 가동
전남도는 그동안 축적한 분석 자료와 사업 논리를 토대로 예산국회 일정에 맞춰 현장 중심·즉시 대응 체계를 가동해 왔다.
특히 올해는 에너지 신산업, 첨단산업 인프라, 광주·전남 상생, 농어촌 생활SOC, 지역균형발전 프로젝트 등 미래형 국비사업을 핵심 목표로 삼고 있다.
강위원 부지사는 “2026년 국비는 전남의 미래를 결정짓는 분기점”이라며 “마지막 순간까지 책임지고 뛰어 전남의 예산을 반드시 확보하겠다.”고 강조했다.
■ 남은 국회 심의 단계에서도 총력 유지
전남도는 앞으로도 상임위 심사, 예결위 종합심사, 소소위 협의 등 남은 국회 절차에서도 국비 반영 극대화를 위해 전담 조직을 중심으로 총력 대응을 이어간다는 방침이다.

Jeollanam-do has launched a full-scale campaign to secure allocations in the 2026 national budget, taking a comprehensive approach to the National Assembly to ensure that key strategic projects shaping the province’s next 100 years receive adequate funding.
Vice Governor for Economy Kang Wi-won visited the National Assembly over a two-day period from the 12th to the 13th, meeting with standing committees and the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts (SCBA) to directly explain the necessity of major provincial projects and request active support.
■ Targeting the Budget Committee… Direct Presentation of Jeonnam’s Key Projects
On the 13th, Vice Governor Kang held a series of meetings with lawmakers including Lee So-young, Democratic Party SCBA secretary; SCBA members Noh Jong-myeon and Lim Mi-ae; and Kim Won-yi, secretary of the Industry, Trade, SMEs, and Startups Committee.
Kang emphasized the necessity, economic ripple effects, and the balanced regional development benefits of Jeonnam’s core growth engine projects, stressing that “projects excluded or reduced in the government’s draft budget must be corrected during parliamentary deliberations.”
■ “Not a Single Won Can Be Lost”… Persuading Democratic Party Leadership
On the 12th, Kang also met with Democratic Party Chair Chung Cheong-rae, along with lawmakers Kwon Hyang-yeop, Moon Geum-joo, and Kim Moon-su, explaining in detail the urgent need for national budget support.
“The decisions made in the 2026 budget will determine Jeonnam’s competitiveness for the next century,” Kang said, urging lawmakers to “revive and reinforce any projects omitted from the government’s proposal during the National Assembly review stage.”
■ Jeonnam’s “Next 100 Years Project” Mobilizes Full Response System
The province has prepared meticulously for the budget session, operating an on-site, rapid-response system aligned with the parliamentary review schedule based on extensive analysis and well-developed project justifications.
This year, Jeonnam’s top priorities include projects related to new energy industries, advanced industrial infrastructure, Gwangju–Jeonnam cooperation initiatives, rural living SOC, and regional balanced development.
Vice Governor Kang reaffirmed, “The 2026 national budget is a defining moment for Jeonnam’s future. We will fight until the very end to secure every possible budget allocation for the province.”
■ All-Out Response to Continue Through Remaining Parliamentary Stages
Jeonnam Province will maintain its full-scale effort throughout the remaining parliamentary procedures—including standing committee reviews, SCBA comprehensive deliberations, and subcommittee negotiations—to maximize national budget allocations for its major projects.
