남도국제미식산업박람회, 추석 황금연휴 맞아 연일 북적

2025 남도국제미식산업박람회가 추석 황금연휴를 맞아 남도의 맛과 문화를 체험하려는 관람객들로 연일 붐비고 있다.

이번 박람회는 전남 목포에서 열리는 국내 최초의 미식(美食) 테마 국제행사로, 케이(K)-미식을 경험하려는 외국인 관광객은 물론 가족 단위 여행객과 커플, 미식가 등 다양한 관람객의 오감을 만족시키며 큰 인기를 끌고 있다.

특히 지난 5일까지 5일간 운영된 아세안(ASEAN) 파빌리온은 태국·베트남·필리핀 등 10개국이 참여해 각국의 전통 음식문화를 직접 체험할 수 있는 공간으로 꾸며졌으며, 다양한 시식과 이벤트로 관람객들의 호응을 얻었다.

이어서 9일까지 ‘한가위 전(煎)·반(飯)·탕(湯)·채(菜)·다(茶)·과(菓)·주(酒)’ 특별 프로그램이 진행된다.

동태전·새우전, 들깨토란탕, 송편, 식혜 등 남도식 명절 한 상을 직접 차려보는 체험과 함께 무료 시식 행사도 마련돼 명절의 정취를 더한다.

또한 행사장 현장 이벤트를 통해 매일 2천 명에게 생맥주 쿠폰, 음식 판매 부스 2천 원 할인권, 고추장·참치액젓 등 경품을 증정하는 등 풍성한 혜택이 이어지고 있다.

홍양현 남도국제미식산업박람회 사무국장은 “개막 초반부터 뜨거운 관심을 보내주신 관람객들께 감사드린다”며 “10~12일 열리는 주류페스타, 17~19일 소금박람회, 24~26일 김밥페스티벌 등 남도의 맛과 문화를 즐길 수 있는 다양한 프로그램이 계속될 예정이니, 가족 단위로 방문해 잊지 못할 가을 미식 여행을 즐기시길 바란다.”고 말했다.

한편, ‘2025 남도국제미식산업박람회’는 오는 26일까지 목포 문화예술회관 일원에서 계속된다.
남도의 풍부한 식재료와 발효문화를 현대적으로 재해석하고, 산업·경제·문화가 어우러진 이번 박람회는 케이-푸드 세계화의 발판이자 지속가능한 미식산업의 새로운 방향을 제시하는 무대로 평가받고 있다.

Namdo International Gourmet Industry Expo Bustling During Chuseok Holiday
• Korea’s first gourmet-themed international event delights domestic and foreign visitors alike -
The 2025 Namdo International Gourmet Industry Expo is drawing large crowds during the Chuseok holiday, as visitors flock to experience the unique tastes and culture of Namdo (Southern Jeolla Province).
Held in Mokpo, Jeollanam-do, this is Korea’s first international event dedicated to gourmet culture. The expo has become a popular attraction among foreign tourists seeking to experience K-Food, as well as among families, couples, and food enthusiasts who are enjoying an immersive culinary experience that appeals to all five senses.
From October 1 to 5, the ASEAN Pavilion drew significant attention, featuring participation from ten ASEAN countries including Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Visitors were able to experience each country’s traditional food culture through live cooking, tasting, and cultural events.
Following that, through October 9, a special Chuseok-themed program titled “Hangawi Jeon(煎)·Ban(飯)·Tang(湯)·Chae(菜)·Da(茶)·Gwa(菓)·Ju(酒)” is being held. Visitors can enjoy hands-on experiences such as preparing traditional Namdo-style festive dishes—including dongtae-jeon (pollack pancakes), saeu-jeon (shrimp pancakes), taro soup with perilla, songpyeon (rice cakes), and sikhye (sweet rice drink)—as well as free tasting sessions that add to the holiday atmosphere.
In addition, daily on-site events offer 2,000 visitors free beer coupons, 2,000 KRW food booth discount vouchers, and giveaways such as gochujang (red chili paste) and anchovy fish sauce, providing a variety of rewards and fun experiences.
Hong Yang-hyun, Secretary General of the Namdo International Gourmet Industry Expo, said,

The 2025 Namdo International Gourmet Industry Expo continues through October 26 at the Mokpo Culture &Arts Center and surrounding areas.By reinterpreting Namdo’s rich local ingredients and fermentation culture in a modern way, the expo serves as a platform that integrates industry, economy, and culture, paving the way for the globalization of K-Food and presenting a new vision for a sustainable gourmet industry.
