“전남 안전 파수꾼, 담양서 기술경연으로 역량 과시!”

전라남도 의용소방대의 기술과 열정이 한자리에 모였다.

제42회 전라남도 의용소방대 기술경연대회가 4일 담양군 추성경기장에서 성황리에 열렸다.

전남소방본부와 전남도 의용소방대연합회가 주관하고 담양군이 후원한 이번 행사에는 김영록 전남도지사와 김태균 전남도의회 의장을 비롯해 22개 시 군 의용소방대원과 가족 등 4천여 명이 참석해 뜨거운 열기를 보였다.

이번 기술경연대회는 재난 현장에서 소방의 든든한 파트너로 활동하는 의용소방대원들의 대응 능력 향상과 상호 우호 증진을 위해 매년 개최되고 있다.

올해는 22개 시군 대표 352명의 의용소방대원이 출전해 4인조법, 소방호스 전개 및 회수, 심폐소생술, 단체줄넘기 등 4개 종목에서 기량을 겨뤘다.

김영록 지사는 “푸른 대숲의 바람이 속삭이는 담양에서 기술경연대회가 열리게 돼 매우 뜻깊다”며 “지역을 지키는 안전 파수꾼인 의용소방대원들에게 감사와 존경을 전한다.”고 말했다.

주영국 전남소방본부장은 “전남소방은 1만여 명의 의용소방대와 함께 재난으로부터 도민의 안전을 지키기 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”고 강조했다.

이번 대회는 단순한 경쟁을 넘어 지역사회의 안전과 화합을 다지는 뜻깊은 장으로 평가받고 있다.

“Jeonnam’s Volunteer Firefighters Showcase Skills at Damyang Technical Competition!”
The skills and passion of Jeonnam’s volunteer firefighters came together in one place.
The 42nd Jeonnam Volunteer Firefighters Technical Competition was held successfully on November 4 at Chuseong Stadium in Damyang County.
Hosted by the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters and the Jeonnam Volunteer Firefighters Association, and supported by Damyang County, the event was attended by Governor Kim Young-rok, Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Chairman Kim Tae-gyun, volunteer firefighters from all 22 cities and counties, and their families, totaling around 4,000 participants, creating a lively atmosphere.
The technical competition is held annually to enhance the response capabilities of volunteer firefighters, who serve as reliable partners of professional firefighters at disaster sites, and to promote mutual friendship and cooperation.
This year, 352 volunteer firefighters representing all 22 cities and counties competed in four events: the four-person drill, fire hose deployment and recovery, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and group jump rope.
Governor Kim Young-rok said, “It is very meaningful that the competition is held in Damyang, where the breeze whispers through the green bamboo forests. I express my gratitude and respect to the volunteer firefighters who are the guardians of safety in our communities.”
Jeonnam Fire Headquarters Chief Joo Young-guk emphasized, “Together with over 10,000 volunteer firefighters in Jeonnam, we will do our utmost to protect residents’ safety from disasters.”
The competition was not only a test of skill but also a meaningful occasion that strengthened community safety and solidarity.
